Your teacher
Scarlet Allenspach is a Swiss permaculturist who moved to Mallorca three years ago to take her journey from urban gardening to mediterranean off-grid permaculture. She bought a piece of land to plant a food forest and founded Son Selva. Since earning her Permaculture Design Certificate at the Kul Kul Farm in Bali in 2018, she has dedicated her life to working with nature and helping others do the same.
With a background in Industrial Design, she brings a creative and spatial approach to landscape planning — blending beauty, function, and sustainability. Before diving fully into permaculture, she ran a concept store offering locally crafted jewelry, natural cosmetics, and sustainable home goods in Zurich and then a second store in Basel. Later, she founded Urbanroots, where she led workshops for city gardeners, helped plant backyard gardens, and sold organic heirloom seeds.
Her current passions lie in sustainable architecture, rainwater harvesting, and agroforestry — creating systems that regenerate land, conserve resources, and build resilience. And her life goal is to change the world just a little bit by being a positive example and sharing her knowledge to others.
